Athletics RMA and Physicals

Dear Miller Families:

As we look forward to 2025-26, we are excited to share information on the athletics programs offered at Bob Miller Middle School. Whether your child is starting their final year as a Bobcat, entering 7th grade, or preparing for their first year on campus, this information will help prospective student-athletes and their parents understand the clearinghouse procedures of the Clark County School District and Bob Miller Middle School. You can review THIS DOCUMENT for middle school athletic eligibility requirements and more.

Please CLICK HERE for important dates and tryout information for our athletics programs. If your student is trying out for a sport at Miller Middle School, parents will need to complete registration through Aktivate/REGISTER MY ATHLETE (RMA) and provide current/valid health insurance information before the student is cleared to participate. RMA will be open for the 2025-2026 school year starting Saturday, May 10, 2025. The process may take you up to 30-45 minutes. For some, it will take longer. Below are some handy tips and links related to registering for sports:

  • These STUDENT-ATHLETE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS may help in the process. If you need something more thorough, this RMA/AKTIVATE PARENT MANUAL may be of help.

  • As you work your way through this process, please read all questions and statements in their entirety to help reduce mistakes.

  • Please note a registration must be completed for each sport your child wishes to participate in. Sports will open for registration just prior to the season the sport is played. Please pay close aention to the Parent Newsleer for these dates.

  • When searching for our school, please type MILLER as opposed to “Bob Miller.”

  • EVERY athlete is required to get a NIAA PHYSICAL completed each year. The physical is good for one calendar year (like a prescription) but must be uploaded to RMA/Aktivate each year. Miller Middle School does not have access to physicals submitted in the previous school year. Free/affordable physical options may be found HERE.

  • EVERY athlete is also required to have an ELECTRONIC RECORDS RELEASE completed each year.

  • Have ready two current (within last 30 days) proofs of address with the parent's name on the document. This can be a major utility bill (power, water, or gas), a driver's license, or a rental agreement/mortgage statement.

  • Parents may also be asked to provide copies of transcripts from previous schools if they are registering at Miller for the first time.

  • If applicable, parents will also be asked to provide documents including divorce decrees, custody agreements, and documents of abandonment for previous address.

  • Students must have current health insurance to tryout and/or participate in sports. Student health insurance options can be found HERE.

  • There is a $15 registration fee for all RMA athletic packets. This fee can be paid on the RMA/Aktivate site with a credit card or in person at the school with cash, check, or credit card.

All student-athletes must be cleared through RMA no later than the coaches’ established deadline before participating in any tryout. If you encounter any problems or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Miller Athletics Oice at 702-799-2260, ext.4000 or brians1@nv.ccsd.net.

Sincerely, BMMS Athletics - Bob Miller Middle School
